After Death band members finally laid to rest.

Earlier I posted about funds being needed for the funerals of London thrashers After Death’s guitarist Leon Villalba, 21, and bassist Timothy Kennelly, 18, who drowned on tour in Brazil after Timothy attempted to save Leon (here).

If you saw that you’ll be pleased to know that the local community and metallers all over have raised enough money to give them their funerals.

A statement from Death Toll Records released today said:

Both Tim and Leon have now been returned home and their funerals have taken place. Thanks to an amazing response to this and other appeals that have been run in the local community, sufficient funds have been raised to cover all their funeral costs.

We’ve all been moved by the generosity that has been shown.

Both families deeply appreciate the support and generosity of everyone.
