Lower Than Atlantis played at Face Down, The Scala, London on March 5th 2010.

A late change to the line up saw the replacement of Japanese Voyeurs with Watford’s indieish punkers Lower Than Atlantis.

Despite singer Mike Duce repeatedly throwing the contents of bottles into the audience, the band got a pretty good reaction in moshpit terms throughout much of their set, and seemed to go down well with the young crowd.

Strangely though, the very English charm which can be heard on some of their recorded output seemed to get lost in the live setting, with the different songs often seeming to merge into one.

The highlight was a surprise cover of The Foo Fighters ‘Everlong’, which they performed in the exact style of the original.

Overall though, it wasn’t a performance to particularly remember.
